Oh you knew. You knew exactly what it was.

I think he's been there. I think he probably e-mails Carson Daly all the time.

The salmon street fountain is a big fountain made for playing. people take their dogs in it too. It just circulates the same water over and over, not good for drinking. But the first time I took Sidney there she was too little, and she got it in her mouth and she drank it and we all became horribly ill in the belly. As unfortunate coincidence would have it, this was also the same time our bathroom floor was being redone and we had no toilet. Anyway, this past summer, I took Sidney back to the fountain:

I've never seen it. Never, but I read an article about MTV. It said MTV has no culteral value. It's there to advertiseme cothes and stuff. Even the shows are advertisements. I think it's the culture. There's a black guy that runs in now I think, if I remember right. I think that black people, in search of some sort of acceptance, are prone to buy what;s hip at the moment. They lack charactor. And that's what's MTV about these days. Even with the declining cd sales, the lack of rap music consumers, MTV still plays rap videos. Musicians who's job it is to sell Tommy Hilfiger or FUBU. Theyr're not really musicians, they're spokespersons.

Little kids playing and peeing in water that should not be recirculated. Without proper filtration. Sooner or later it'll be over 50% urine.

Cushca:
That's very special. How is it that you can be so politically correct that you are careful to say "spokespersons" and yet in the same sentence you say "I think that black people, in search of some sort of acceptance, are prone to buy what;s hip at the moment. They lack charactor."
(Tue Feb 26, 2002 - 12:55:48 pm)

Cushca:
You've really outdone yourself this time.
(Tue Feb 26, 2002 - 12:55:55 pm)

Heruka:
That's what MTV seems to be. No substance, not that there ever was, but what there was, is really gone now. It's mild form of BET. It seems to promote "black culture" as it's main form of entertainment.

It panders sex, violence and anti-social behavior to pre-teens. Should an 11 year old really be learning about pimps? I don't think so.

Likewise.

Everything is closed down. I shall respond on Thursday if that's OK with you. I shan't be here tomorrow. But do try and have fun without me.
(Tue Feb 26, 2002 - 1:33:15 pm)

Decoy:
It'll have to do; I can't spend the rest of my day typing out long interesting letters to you anyway.

Big topic today. College kids are drinking. Oh no. What is this world coming to.
(Tue Feb 26, 2002 - 3:02:16 pm)

Chewing Wax:
I couldn't believe that either. Oh woe is western society

Binge drinking often is described as four consecutive drinks for a female or five drinks for a male. According to an American Medical Association survey last year, binge drinking is among parents' top worries. Around 44 percent of college students admit to binge drinking, and nearly a fourth of those binge frequently.

Chewing Wax:
Five drinks. Is a binge. Why bother? Why not say smelling alcohol is binging?
(Tue Feb 26, 2002 - 3:12:34 pm)

Chewing Wax:
I never don't binge apparently.

Chewing Wax:
Back in the day, a binge meant you stayed plastered for three, four or even five days. That was a binge.

Heruka:
Up until the past year or so, I didn't think it was actually possible to drink less than 4 or 5 drinks at one time. Neither me notr my friends ever had less than that. What's the point?
(Tue Feb 26, 2002 - 3:16:48 pm)

Chewing Wax:
The only time I drink less then five drinks is at a restaurant when they bring the food out too quickly.
(Tue Feb 26, 2002 - 3:17:27 pm)

Chewing Wax:
I prefer to drink on an empty stomach.

I hsouln't have taken so long to post that. It sounds like I'm just backing you up. But I guess I am.

Chewing Wax:
We can safely be in agreement on this one
(Tue Feb 26, 2002 - 3:18:30 pm)

Heruka:
I learned that if I'm seriously drinking, not to eat. There's nothing worse than waking up in a pool of your own vomit. If I eat nothing, I have nothing to come back up.
