Its awful, they tape it after lunch and I can hear them screaming all afternoon, sometimes its going on when I get out of work. And then all the tourists stop in the middle of the sidewalk gawking at MTV, its just unreal - they think its amazing.

I don't know, I don't think you can see anything from the street really, my eyes arent that great but I don't really look either, I just plow my way through. I could care less. But if NSync is up there, they block the street off - thats when I get pissed off. Its insane.

Michael Jackson was next door at Virgin not too long ago - it was insane then. You could see what was going on on the monitors in Times Squ and I saw this guy trembling and crying when he got up to get his record signed. That was hilarious. I don't get it.

They show that TRL programme here on MTV and it looks quite surreal. The studio is full of screaming teens and then that man with the sad face says "coming up, we're going to have a competition for you to win some of Lenny Kravitz's phlegm", and then they all scream louder. And then N'Sync come rolling into the studio on skateboards and they scream even louder. It's quite amazing. The last time I was off work my mum watched it with me and we both just sat there completely slack-jawed watching the horror unfold.

Is MTV popular? Do people still watch it? I've someone called it a 24 hour infomercial for pre-teens. Is that how teenagers really are? I can't believe that. I think it mat appeal to the lower level teens.
