Chewing Wax:
I think she just assumed that you being arty-er then Kevin Smith made him beneath you.
(Mon Mar 13, 2000 - 1:36:22 pm)
Queenie:
ARTY: Showily or affectedly artistic.
I guess I can see how one could confuse arty with better than.
(Mon Mar 13, 2000 - 1:36:55 pm)
Queenie:
Arty could even been seen as a self-slur, depending on how you look at it.
(Mon Mar 13, 2000 - 1:37:23 pm)
Chewing Wax:
absolutely
(Mon Mar 13, 2000 - 1:38:08 pm)
Queenie:
Many of the principles are the same, but rather than Jay and Silent Bob for comic relief, ours are more David Lynch-esque. It's sort of like if David Lynch and Kevin Smith had a love child and fed it crack.
(Mon Mar 13, 2000 - 1:39:26 pm)
Queenie:
To which post are you responding "absolutely"?
(Mon Mar 13, 2000 - 1:40:04 pm)
Queenie:
And there's plenty of Coen Bros. and Gus Van Sant thrown in there too.
(Mon Mar 13, 2000 - 1:40:54 pm)
Chewing Wax:
The one right before it.
(Mon Mar 13, 2000 - 1:40:56 pm)
Queenie:
Why is everything I say so misunderstood?!?
(Mon Mar 13, 2000 - 1:42:06 pm)
Chewing Wax:
I have no idea
(Mon Mar 13, 2000 - 1:44:02 pm)
Queenie:
I don't know why I continue to do this to myself. I should just stick to my own chat rooms. There's some great people in there, and a lot of respect and support. But something keeps bringing me back in here...It's you and Myk and Decoy I think.
(Mon Mar 13, 2000 - 1:46:09 pm)
Queenie:
Did I tell you about the VH1 interview?
(Mon Mar 13, 2000 - 1:46:51 pm)
Chewing Wax:
Yes. This week?
(Mon Mar 13, 2000 - 1:48:15 pm)
Queenie:
Hmm...Not sure. This week or next. I would like to have my hair done first. Ken needs a haircut too, real bad like. He was supposed to start a job today, but then he threw his back out.
(Mon Mar 13, 2000 - 1:49:30 pm)
Chewing Wax:
Bad back eh? How'd he do that?
(Mon Mar 13, 2000 - 1:50:33 pm)
Queenie:
Lifting his amps and whatnot yesterday - they had an in-store appearance at Music Millennium, this big old record store cross town. By the way, did you get your CD yet?
(Mon Mar 13, 2000 - 1:52:58 pm)
Chewing Wax:
Not yet. I expect it today.
(Mon Mar 13, 2000 - 1:53:32 pm)
Queenie:
Yah! I know that both amazon and cdnow had to re-order, which is pretty great news.
(Mon Mar 13, 2000 - 1:55:28 pm)
Chewing Wax:
That's impressive.
(Mon Mar 13, 2000 - 2:04:50 pm)
Myk Murphy:
cool, reorders are nice. hello queenie and wax. i'm pleased to hear that KDB is achieving fame & fortune. when he's good and rich, i'll slap ken with a paternity suit to pay for the kittens my cat is about to have. that should defray some of the cost of the kitty chow.
(Mon Mar 13, 2000 - 2:12:39 pm)
Queenie:
He does like his pussy.
(Mon Mar 13, 2000 - 2:21:42 pm)
Queenie:
Sorry. It was there, I took it.
(Mon Mar 13, 2000 - 2:21:52 pm)
Myk Murphy:
i left it out there; i just wondered how it would be delivered as a response!
(Mon Mar 13, 2000 - 2:23:37 pm)
Queenie:
I watched Eyes Wide Shut last night - what a seriously fucked up movie. There was so much sex and nudity, and my friend watching with me goes, "You know, I think Kuprick KNEW he was going to die soon" and we all just rolled laughing.
(Mon Mar 13, 2000 - 2:57:33 pm)
Queenie:
OK, POMN.com has a lovely new look! With the soothing oranges and greens that I spoke of....And for the record, my colorist says it's ok. Apparently only assholes are adversely affected by these colors.

Very Nice Q. hope ya all had a fine weekend! Mine was busier than a one armed bass player..work..work..work.., though i did get to watch a couple good tear jerking movies..."simon birch" and "the Mighty"..And i purchased the new CURE cd yum very good... tonight i'm gonna drink a six pack , smoke profusely, and ponder the fact that 90% of the new bands today making radio waves suck shit. yip.
(Mon Mar 13, 2000 - 9:32:11 pm)
Myk Murphy:
good call, ted my man. that "90%" figure may be a bit low.... hmmm....
(Mon Mar 13, 2000 - 9:36:17 pm)
theo~:
You're probably right Myk....good example: kid rock-yuck , yak, and barf...!
(Mon Mar 13, 2000 - 9:49:41 pm)
Myk Murphy:
have you noticed? all the songs are novelty songs now. blink 182, kid rock, all the other foolishness. when novelty drives the industry, the industry is dead.
(Mon Mar 13, 2000 - 9:57:03 pm)
theo~:
Yes i agree 100% and thankyou- i was feeling isolated, all the people i work with and meet on the outside world are eating crap up and liking it. It makes feel sea sick. ehk. though, i don't hesitate to insult it, rip it, and turn my back to it all. They look at like i'm a nut...like today i said i would listen to pop radio ever again...A place of refuge is a good thing.
(Mon Mar 13, 2000 - 10:03:57 pm)
theo~:
that last entry...is choppy and full of mistakes...but i'm sure you can translate.
(Mon Mar 13, 2000 - 10:05:23 pm)

Just out of curiousity...looking for opinions. I was thinking what if R.H. had taken "A Star for Bram" and intergrated in with Jewels for Sophia..do ya think it would of made a nice double album..anyone?
(Mon Mar 13, 2000 - 10:36:38 pm)
Queenie:
If you're going to talk about novelty songs, you HAVE to mention that damned "Why don't you get a job?" band...Can't think of their name. Goddamn I love That 70s Show!
(Mon Mar 13, 2000 - 11:18:12 pm)
