Heruka:
Yeah. Lets ask the Isralis that. Didn't Arrrafat have the most visits to the white house of the foriegn leaders? He was a wacko coward. An embarassment.
(Mon Feb 18, 2002 - 3:03:38 pm)

Chewing Wax:
Which I put up on the roof.
(Mon Feb 18, 2002 - 3:03:54 pm)

Chewing Wax:
At least people weren't blowing themselves up every day back then.
(Mon Feb 18, 2002 - 3:04:28 pm)

Chewing Wax:
Anyhow, I can't take you seriously enough to try to argue with any degree of effort.
(Mon Feb 18, 2002 - 3:06:03 pm)

Heruka:
He created that you niwit. By giving legitamacy to the PLO's cause. And the violence started back in mid-2000, so yes, they were blowing themselves up back then.
(Mon Feb 18, 2002 - 3:06:27 pm)

Myk Murphy:
clinton rushed the israel peace process for his own vanity, but the goal of peace is a noble one. one nice thing about Oslo was that it now shows that arafat was acting in bad faith. if sharon wants to whack him and start again with someone acting in good faith, we may have progress. try not to forget, heruka, that clinton was reasonably hawkish on bin laden and his pals, but without clear "smoking guns", you can't do too much. any president confronted with sept. 11th would have a similar, violent response.
(Mon Feb 18, 2002 - 3:06:38 pm)

Chewing Wax:
You seem like a smart enough guy. You can't possibly be as stupid as you pretend to be. I figure you're just kidding around. Playing the oaf.
(Mon Feb 18, 2002 - 3:06:43 pm)

Detlef Sping:
Was it Bushs family that perpetrated the shooting of Kennedy and put that puppet LBJ in power as George took over the CIA?
(Mon Feb 18, 2002 - 3:06:45 pm)

Chewing Wax:
That was to Heruka.
(Mon Feb 18, 2002 - 3:07:00 pm)

Heruka:
There's that liberal mentality. Republicans are dumb. Yeh, that's the truth. Which is why the ghetto votes democrat.
(Mon Feb 18, 2002 - 3:07:20 pm)

Chewing Wax:
I'm no liberal.
(Mon Feb 18, 2002 - 3:08:15 pm)

Detlef Sping:
Dumb?
(Mon Feb 18, 2002 - 3:08:31 pm)

Chewing Wax:
Liberals think they know what's best for everyone. I hate that.
(Mon Feb 18, 2002 - 3:08:34 pm)

Chewing Wax:
Wait. That's both ends of the political scale. I hate that.
(Mon Feb 18, 2002 - 3:09:04 pm)

Detlef Sping:
Bunny huggers.
(Mon Feb 18, 2002 - 3:09:05 pm)

Heruka:
Here's a thought. I've met few engineers that were democrats. By nature it's a profession that requires knowledge, the ability to think on logical terms, and yet, they vote Republican. Hmmm.
(Mon Feb 18, 2002 - 3:09:44 pm)

Myk Murphy:
be very cautious when comparing presidents these days. the gauges that we use for comparison are totally skewed when on a war footing. right now we're seeing china rethink the "one day we'll have to go to war with the US" mentality. russia, meanwhile, has finally embraced the west (and their east-west schizophrenia may now be over). all this because countries are truly taking sides, and none wishes to be identified with islamic theocracies or general lawlessness. for once, the hype is relatively consistent with reality.
(Mon Feb 18, 2002 - 3:10:13 pm)

Chewing Wax:
Come on. Who was smarter? Clinton or Dubyah.
(Mon Feb 18, 2002 - 3:10:39 pm)

Heruka:
I hate discussing politics on this thing.
(Mon Feb 18, 2002 - 3:11:03 pm)

Detlef Sping:
It doesn't matter who you vote for they are all the same crap, different flies.
(Mon Feb 18, 2002 - 3:11:23 pm)

Chewing Wax:
Cause it's so frustrating isn't it? I know how to bother you.
(Mon Feb 18, 2002 - 3:11:43 pm)

Myk Murphy:
as for the euro politicians, their opinions are entirely too politically loaded to be appreciated. they have abandoned defense spending, thus making nato more theoretical than real.
(Mon Feb 18, 2002 - 3:12:08 pm)

Heruka:
Let's think. Dubyah has a great administration. Very intelligent people who know what's going on. Isn't that a sign of intelligence? Passing the ball when you know a player on the field can run faster? That's logic.
(Mon Feb 18, 2002 - 3:12:40 pm)

Detlef Sping:
Plus Haider is insane.
(Mon Feb 18, 2002 - 3:12:55 pm)

Chewing Wax:
I actually heard a thing on the BBC that said the Euro's were whining that the US hadn't involved them more in the Afghan campain. What the hell is that? They weren't exactly lining up to help as I recall.
(Mon Feb 18, 2002 - 3:13:04 pm)

Heruka:
I have come to the conclusion, that Europe is no longer our true allies. They're Socialists and Fascists. Ack.
(Mon Feb 18, 2002 - 3:14:27 pm)

Myk Murphy:
engineers are often paid handsomely, and may be voting republican as a means to a pro-business end. a lack of social responsibility may also be caused by study time spent learning engineering, versus the humanities.
(Mon Feb 18, 2002 - 3:14:49 pm)

Detlef Sping:
Frat parties.
(Mon Feb 18, 2002 - 3:15:39 pm)

Chewing Wax:
The true value of nato may be their lack of overt opposition to the US doing whatever it wants to do.
(Mon Feb 18, 2002 - 3:16:07 pm)

Myk Murphy:
yeah, wax, it's the difficulty of being a euro politician right now. the continent is skewed toward anti-american resentment that bubbles to the surface at times like this. it frustrates them that american military power will not be tempered by their comments now. plus, they have to be cautious, as there are a hell of a lot of muslims living in europe, and so why cause a major shitstorm at home when the americans will go do their job anyway.
(Mon Feb 18, 2002 - 3:17:20 pm)

Heruka:
engineers aren't paid as handsomely as you might thin. unless you're a computer geek, and create bad software that never works. then you get paid good. if you're not on the dole.
(Mon Feb 18, 2002 - 3:17:21 pm)

Myk Murphy:
nato will become more relevant when (1) nato countries increase defense spending as a percentage of GDP, and (2) when nato (and the EU) expands, allowing more pro-american east european countries to move the political center away from the french-german partnership.
(Mon Feb 18, 2002 - 3:19:42 pm)

Chewing Wax:
French
