I've never heard of LaCrosse till I worked for some guy who's daughter played it in high school. Then she went to a private school that was something like $30k a year, so I assumed it was a wealthy persons sport. We had foorball and basket and girls softball. I went to a poor high school. Dirt poor.

Me, I can always just order cigars over the internet for cheap. No taxes involved.

Chewing Wax:
Do you get that rich tar buzz?

Chewing Wax:
I go to the Indian reservation but fourteen cartons a day still adds up.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Patrick

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Your first name of Patrick creates a serious, thoughtful nature, shrewd, efficient, and business-minded. You are one to make your own decisions, and not be influenced by others. You desire independence and freedom from the authority and interference of others. You are not overly ambitious, preferring instead just to seek stable, settled conditions which are adequate to meet your responsibilities. In your personal relations with others, you are inclined to be rather serious, and not to see the humour others see, or to respond spontaneously. Your positive manner and outlook can make others feel that you are imposing your will on them and even interfering in their affairs. Weaknesses in your health caused by the influence of this name centre in the head. Head colds, sinus conditions, hay-fever, and weak eyes are relative conditions. Also, your tendency to worry can lead to insomnia and other overwrought conditions.

Whatta crock.

Queenie:
POMN is down and I don't know why.
(Tue Feb 12, 2002 - 12:34:36 pm)

Heruka:
Doesn't the reservation limit the amout of cigs cartons you can buy? Every once in a while I read in the paper about how someone is caught with a trunk full of cigs they've bought at the reservation and were smuggling to Michigan.

Chewing Wax:
I have to sign something swearing they're for private comsumption.
(Tue Feb 12, 2002 - 12:37:50 pm)

Heruka:
Yeah. I'd like to buy these 50 cartons, and yes, they're for my own consumption. Like signing a statement that I won't set the fireworks off in the state of Ohio. The PA border was 70 miles away.

Queenie:
What the fuck is wrong with POMN?!?
(Tue Feb 12, 2002 - 12:44:32 pm)

Chewing Wax:
Maybe those forums are getting too many hits?
(Tue Feb 12, 2002 - 12:48:13 pm)

Heruka:
Well first of all, it's confusing. There's too much going on. The opening page is too busy. Simpler is better. Second, it's geared towards Portland. Third, the color scheme is bad. Too light, Need something that conflicts with the backround.
(Tue Feb 12, 2002 - 12:48:54 pm)

Chewing Wax:
Oh. I thought she meant why was it down. I understand now.
(Tue Feb 12, 2002 - 12:49:28 pm)

Chewing Wax:
I'm going to lunch. Or something. Later Aquarians.
(Tue Feb 12, 2002 - 12:50:07 pm)

Queenie:
I meant why is it down. But thanks, Heruka. I will spend the day studying the award-winning websites you've designed in the hopes of improving myself. Oh wait... that's right... you don't have any. Ass.
(Tue Feb 12, 2002 - 12:52:26 pm)

Heruka:
Actually, they' had a write up on the best designed websites on the net in the Wall Street Journal yesterday, and both the simpler, and color statement were both mentioned. Escpsecially when dealing with a sophisticated client, which you obviously aren't.

This coming from a man who uses phrases like, "throwing the hump down on big bertha".

Tom is fat but hes a big guy too. He puts on takes off weight a lot. When I met him he wasn't really that fat at all, just big and then he got really fat and then lost a lot of weight. He should stop smoking though.
(Tue Feb 12, 2002 - 12:58:22 pm)

Queenie:
Then he would gain weight for sure.

We're driving each other crazy anyway, I think one of us is going to split at some point. I don't know.
(Tue Feb 12, 2002 - 1:07:03 pm)

Heruka:
Trust me. I've done a lot of online ordering. There's a diffenerence between a site that looks good, and one that worth something. Novelty graphics don't sell products. Unless your customers are 9 years old.
(Tue Feb 12, 2002 - 1:07:50 pm)

Queenie:
I wasn't aware that I was selling anything.
(Tue Feb 12, 2002 - 1:11:43 pm)

Heruka:
Aren't you? You're selling the local music scene. When you do an interview, your selling the musicians products, in this case music. If it's a good review. Which they usually seem to be. They wouldn't want to talk bad about the industry they're trying to promote. But POMN is an adertisement for Portlands local music scene, no? Fegmania is an ad for Robyn Hitchcock. Get it?
(Tue Feb 12, 2002 - 1:18:00 pm)

bela:
Who ho.
(Tue Feb 12, 2002 - 1:19:46 pm)

bela:
I mean, Whoa ho.
(Tue Feb 12, 2002 - 1:19:55 pm)

Heruka:
If you came out and said Portlands music scene sucks, what would the point be to keep going? Have you ever given Kens band a bad review? I doubt it. Why would a GM employee talk about how wonderful Ford is? It would make no sense. The internet is a big ad, whether people want to accept it or not. There's very little depth to it all.
(Tue Feb 12, 2002 - 1:20:47 pm)

It's not weakness it's just common sense:
Weaknesses in your health caused by the influence of this name centre in the head.

Heruka:
I've done very little today. Which is not so good.
(Tue Feb 12, 2002 - 1:22:18 pm)

Queenie:
Whatever you say.
(Tue Feb 12, 2002 - 1:22:34 pm)

It's not weakness it's just common sense:
The internet is a big needy ad.
(Tue Feb 12, 2002 - 1:23:28 pm)

Heruka:
That's CW's line. I understand. You actually believe there's substance in entertainment.
