so the idea was initialy to cruise through the carribean, through the pannama canal and up the west coast of Mexico and end up in the LA area. but I'm having ideas, if we're going cruising anyhow,, I think we should hit the south pacific while we'rea t it. it might double the tme we'll be a sea, but it's a good opportunity. we'll have the boat. we'll have the time. we'll have the money(if we live on rice and beans and things we catch from the sea. she's aprehensive about the whole thing. but it's something I've always wanted to do since I was knee hight o a grasshopper. I can do it while I'm young enought to enjoy it. and before I settle down. the time is right. I want to shake my stuf in the tropics. life is for doing, not for widhing about doing.

I have to think someone has too much free time today. I haven't been deep in Mexico. I've been to Hermocilo, which is a huindred or so miles south of Tuscon Az. I've also been through Baja California, but the baja isn't real Mexico. One thing I've noticed, along the border on the Mexican side, there are very normal neighborhoods popping up. The shanty towns of the immigrant worker that was so prevelant there back in the 80's when I first visited there seem to be a dying off. The Mexican countryside is lovely, especialy in the mountains, and shockingly safe for Americans. I know someone who was robed at gunpoint by the policia in Tijuana. He ordered them into his car and drove them into the desert and robbed them. They had to walk back to town.
