Queenie:
My favorite thing about visiting Roslyn was going to this funky old house that had been converted into a movie theater by this weird hippie couple. We just walked in and said, "When is the movie playing?" and they were like, "Whenever" on account of we were the only people there. They had this brothel-looking lobby and popcorn with real butter. But most importantly, they had an air conditioner. It was bloody hot that day. So we sat in these uncomfortable chairs and watched a Nicolas Cage movie. It was really so fucking cool. The hippie guy had painted an enormous mural of Marlon Brando on his house -- it covered the entire side of the house and could be seen for miles. The producers of Northern Exposure covered it up with a giant piece of canvas during shooting, though.

Unhappy Days for Pinky:
Actress Roz Kelly, who parlayed a brief stint as Fonzie's Happy Days girlfriend Pinky into a sort-of forever TV-land notoriety, pleaded no contest in Southern California Thursday to going Annie Oakley on her neighborhood with a 12-gauge shotgun.
Sentencing is set for October 20. Until then, the ex-sitcom star has been ordered to undergo 90 days of evaluation to help the judge decide between jail time or probation.
Unable to post bail, Kelly has been in police, or otherwise, custody since last November 29, when she was arrested at her North Hollywood home for shooting up a neighbor's house, as well as two cars.
"I never meant to become Annie Oakley," Kelly told the National Enquirer last January.

Unhappy Days for Pinky:
Pinky Tuscadero is not to be confused with her TV character sister, Leather Tuscadero, played by real-life rocker Suzi Quatro.

Kelly, 58, is said to have been annoyed by a blaring car alarm prior to the shooting. No one was seriously hurt in the incident, police said. If convicted, Kelly could face up to six years in prison, prosecutors have said.

Ironically, in the eighties, Suzy Quatro played Annie Oakley in a production of "Annie Get Your Gun".

How many bagpipes could one fit into a box, anyway?

who was?
(Wed Jan 9, 2002 - 4:32:07 pm)
Queenie:
Ken really loves that red-haired girl from Slums. I saw her once in a sort of soft-pornish movie about lesbains. She was in the shower with another girl soapin' up the other girl's boobies. Vincent Gallo was also in it, playing an old mexican woman. It was a weird movie.
