Cushca:
What the fuck?
(Thu Jan 3, 2002 - 12:29:06 pm)

Chewing Wax:
Someone has been tearing into the Blisswax® again.
(Thu Jan 3, 2002 - 12:30:20 pm)

Cushca:
I'll say.
(Thu Jan 3, 2002 - 12:31:18 pm)

BELA:
Cushca, aren't you at work late today?
(Thu Jan 3, 2002 - 12:32:13 pm)

BELA:
bela got very angry and upset on Sunday. The band was over because we were going over artwork for the cd and Johnny went into the kitchenette to get some water from the water pitcher and bela ran to the end of her table and looked around the fridge to see what he was doing. She didn't understand a stranger helping themselves in her kitchen. I told her to chill out.
(Thu Jan 3, 2002 - 12:33:48 pm)

Cushca:
We're back to normal working hours. So I'm here until at least six. Joy. Which is lunchtime for you.
(Thu Jan 3, 2002 - 12:36:51 pm)

Chewing Wax:
That story would be better if bela jumped up and clung to Johnny's face and he staggered and stumbled around your kitchen knocking things over and screaming in pain.
(Thu Jan 3, 2002 - 12:37:06 pm)

Chewing Wax:
It's a good story anyhow though. Don't get me wrong.
(Thu Jan 3, 2002 - 12:39:52 pm)

Cushca:
That's funny. You get two "That's funny"'s today. Well done.
(Thu Jan 3, 2002 - 12:45:32 pm)

BELA:
Actually, I was afraid and hoping that would happen. I'll never forget the time when my precious bela was a wee kitten and we had a Christmas Eve party - we had those parties back in the day - anyway, Peter was over making guacamole and bela had to be involved in everything then and she jumped on the table and started to fall and was hanging on the edge of the cutting board. Peter was not amused. And then that same night my friend Patrice stepped on her foot and I screamed at him and then he screamed at me that she was "always underfoot".
(Thu Jan 3, 2002 - 12:45:59 pm)

Chewing Wax:
A guy named Patrice?
(Thu Jan 3, 2002 - 12:47:08 pm)

BELA:
I was so angry. She was a 2 1/2 pound fragile kitten and he's a 6 3' 250 pound clumsy gay man.
(Thu Jan 3, 2002 - 12:47:21 pm)

BELA:
Yeah, Patrice, I don't know, hes Spanish and Swedish - go figure. His boring brother is named Nico.
(Thu Jan 3, 2002 - 12:47:55 pm)

Cushca:
I don't like The Strokes. There. I've said it.
(Thu Jan 3, 2002 - 12:47:59 pm)

Chewing Wax:
Thanks for thinking I'm funny Cushca. You're the only one that counts anyhow.
(Thu Jan 3, 2002 - 12:48:44 pm)

BELA:
Poo, I think you're funny. The Strokes, they're some phenomena huh?
(Thu Jan 3, 2002 - 12:50:23 pm)

Chewing Wax:
What are the Strokes?
(Thu Jan 3, 2002 - 12:50:51 pm)

BELA:
Some really popular retro band. They just got hugely huge for some reason. A lot of people really love them and then there are people like Cushca who think its crap. I don't know enough about them but I'm sure I wouldn't like it.
(Thu Jan 3, 2002 - 12:51:46 pm)

Chewing Wax:
I'm so out of touch or something. Is there something I should read, watch or listen too that would fill me in?
(Thu Jan 3, 2002 - 12:52:34 pm)

bela:
I don't know, I found out about them because my old boyfriend wanted to see them at the CMJ Music festival here and then I saw them on tv and Tom said something about them and I put the two together. Other than that, thats all I know.
(Thu Jan 3, 2002 - 12:55:17 pm)

Cushca:
Some of their songs aren't all that terrible, but it's just all the hyperbole that surrounds them that annoys me. And the fact that they're all stupid posh boys dressing like they're poor. The lead singer's father is that bloke Casablancas who owns Elite Models. Or something.
(Thu Jan 3, 2002 - 12:57:35 pm)

bela:
Oh, there you go. They're scenesters, they have a built in following. Its like the Barnyard Playboys or Speedball Baby here. These bands that are totally mediocre to crappy but they're really popular, but since they're scenester types, they have people following them around saying how great they are.
(Thu Jan 3, 2002 - 1:11:52 pm)

Chewing Wax:
Quick read on Amazon and I know everything there is to know. I guess I should subscribe to Rolling Stone or something.
(Thu Jan 3, 2002 - 1:19:29 pm)

Chewing Wax:
Rolling Stone ranked The Strokes album 8th best of 2001.
(Thu Jan 3, 2002 - 1:22:03 pm)

not a load™:
Wax: Matthew Good Band. "Beautiful midnight" worth a listen.
(Thu Jan 3, 2002 - 1:24:50 pm)

bela:
Fuck Rolling Stone, they put any and every crap band thats popular on MTV at the moment.
(Thu Jan 3, 2002 - 1:26:47 pm)

bela:
on its cover.
(Thu Jan 3, 2002 - 1:27:00 pm)

Chewing Wax:
What should I get then? Billboard?
(Thu Jan 3, 2002 - 1:28:44 pm)

Mrs Dr GB:
Media whores.
(Thu Jan 3, 2002 - 1:28:47 pm)

Mrs Dr GB:
Last night I dreamt it was the end of the world. Sleepy, Cushca and orange were sorting out the music. Someone chose Girls Just Wanna Have Fun - I can't say who, for sure.
(Thu Jan 3, 2002 - 1:29:33 pm)

Chewing Wax:
That was Sleepy
(Thu Jan 3, 2002 - 1:30:31 pm)

bela:
I don't know, get whatever you want.
(Thu Jan 3, 2002 - 1:31:14 pm)
