Keep a-movin, Dan, dontcha listen to him, Dan
He's a devil, not a man
He spreads the burning sand with water
Dan, can ya see that big, green tree?
Where the water's runnin' free
And it's waitin' there for me and you?
The nights are cool and I'm a fool
Each star's a pool of water
Cool, clear, water

And the sky is perfectly clear and despite the city lights there are zillions of visible stars... but alas, after 20 mins. of neck craning, I saw no meteors.

Best viewing time is between 4-6am for us. We're leaving in about an hour, or at least I am, considering I'm the only one awake right not. Awake, drinking tea, anticipating the big show. Life is good.

Heruka:
Peak is at 5am. Two hours to go. I may have to swing by SuperKmart and pick up some film for my camera. My el cheapo 5.99 special.

I finally saw them. Too many to count! Even with the sky half lit by the city and annoyingly glaring street lamps on my street, I saw them! Yay!
(Sun Nov 18, 2001 - 5:14:56 am)

Heruka:
Well, we didn't go to the lake to view them, heck, there was no we at all. It's just me. I have to ask: why are people so surly when they wake up? Don't they understand they waking to a brand new day, full of challenges, experiences, we things to arouse the senses? There was massive wave of comets. Some nice ones though, a big green one to top it off. Little known fact, that shooting star that sailed over the Orca in the movie jaws was real. You know the one, when they're all inside talking and eh camera shows the boat against a starry sky. Time for bed, the couch awaits.
(Sun Nov 18, 2001 - 5:19:39 am)

Heruka:
