If I saw it happening I'd be so pissed off. My wife, being an imigration attorney, not just representing these people but actually working with them is very sensitive to it. She told me that both of her middle eastern colleages had already been threatened by Thursday. I found that very hard to believe, but if it's true, I would do all I could to defend them. That is so un American, in my mind.

I'm confused, is being against immigration UnAmerican? Every country hates immigrants. America is actually very receptive to them. As an American, I shudder to think what would happen if I tried to immigrate to another non-industrial country. Even India. If I were to attempt to immigrate to India in an area that is not heavily settles by whities yet, I would get myself killed. Simply because I'm white. This is true I believe in a large part of the world. Have you been watching what Africa is doing to white people? It's not changed. Think of Phil Ochs. So despite what you watch on tv, America is wonderfully open to immigrants, and despite what other would have us believe, we're not a racist nation either. They gave Irish immigrants 25 cents and a cheap bottle of whiskey a week to work in the fields. Oh well. Enough said. Too much perhaps.
