Cushca:
Hello.
(Thu Sep 13, 2001 - 7:18:29 am)

Chewing Wax:
Hello. I have to take a shower now.
(Thu Sep 13, 2001 - 7:20:38 am)

Decoy:
Orange, to have and to have not. Individuals have to play the game. If there is no sovereignty that will take or harbor you and your beliefs, you either go somewhere that is free, or change where you live through democratic process. We kicked the English out of here for that reason; everyone forgets that the US started somewhere too and focuses on the wealth we built and their jealousy of it. I don't see America having ever denied the mechanism of free trade and capitalism to anyone who allows their people democratic process. There is a way out, capitalism is not usury, its a service that increases the value of your life. The country that you live in, Orange, has the benefit of free an open trade with our markets and suppliers - only because you are free and through some process your government saw the wisdom of playing ball.

Decoy:
There has to be some structure if you put any value on progress, long life, and a pleasurable standard of living. If they want to be animals, perhaps the world had passed them by and their time is at an end - like the next extinct species:
Arab terrorist - nomadic desert dweller of tribalist social and religious structures. Doesn't play well with others. Marked intolerance of 'the devil' lead to extinction in the early third millenium.
(Thu Sep 13, 2001 - 7:32:55 am)

Chewing Wax:
heh
(Thu Sep 13, 2001 - 7:34:30 am)

Cushca:
That's funny.
(Thu Sep 13, 2001 - 7:35:23 am)

Decoy:
" ... the west's intolerance of other beliefs?" Are you smoking crack? And what oppression, specifically, could not have been remedied by their participation in the free world? Thes don't say no to oil money. I just filled my Honda up this morning with $20 worth of the tainted substance.
(Thu Sep 13, 2001 - 7:38:34 am)

orange:
that's americans... never wrong. and if you can't be like us, then we'll support any regime that brings you down. if i'm full of shit you'r full of ignorance, a common trait. yes, you kicked us out of 'your' country as you opposed the taxes you paid to an imperialist power, not for want of freedom. you then impose 'your' democracy on others, even when they don't want it (Vietnam anyone?). you support Israeli opression of the Palestinians, but don't like it when the 'arabs' get nasty with you and don't understand that hatred. There is a multi-cultural world outside of the US, like it or not.
(Thu Sep 13, 2001 - 7:49:11 am)

Decoy:
Orange, you ignorant slut.
(Thu Sep 13, 2001 - 7:53:46 am)

Decoy:
And you Europers are all so contrary to not see the forest through the trees. Yes I'll admit that the US captured the last frontier of imperialism. But we have a pretty good system that works pretty well. We could close our borders and things would probably work out - but I suggest that western Europe would got to hell in a bucket without the US. See how you fare getting along with China by yourselves. God forbid if the USSR was still around - I am glad we were so tolerant of their culture.
(Thu Sep 13, 2001 - 7:58:34 am)

Decoy:
Pakistan has arrested Usama Bin Laden. Get in line.
(Thu Sep 13, 2001 - 8:10:45 am)

orange:
tolerant of the USSR... LOL!!!!! go read some history you dumbass. that's just the way you think... we'll take our ball home and to hell with you, when you're the ones who kicked into the neighbours greenhouse to start with.
(Thu Sep 13, 2001 - 8:13:47 am)

Heruka:
Ah, classic. Blame America for the worlds problems. How tiresome.
(Thu Sep 13, 2001 - 8:14:26 am)

Cushca:
Orange, no offence, but do the words "rub, salt, wounds" mean anything to you?
(Thu Sep 13, 2001 - 8:15:35 am)

orange:
other countries have good systems that they think work, but if it doesn't conform to the US standard then it's wrong. Don't play with fire, oh but you can, it'll be some smaller contry that gets burnt.
(Thu Sep 13, 2001 - 8:16:01 am)

Heruka:
I think Europe is angry, as they're becoming less relevant in post-modern society. That's why they hate Bush so much, he told them to fuck off. Which is good. It both offends and angers me to think that some two bit country over there actually believes they have the ability to decide on how Americans should live their lives. Just a thought.
(Thu Sep 13, 2001 - 8:18:21 am)

Decoy:
That is so small minded. Where is this world going? Do you think we should become one people, one world? If not, what?
(Thu Sep 13, 2001 - 8:18:28 am)

orange:
no offence, but hypocrisy is rife across the pond. All this talk of 'who can we bomb' is exactly what starts this. sending money to the IRA also rubs salt into wounds, supporting western terrorism does too. Innocent people die because of that mentality, so maybe it's tme for thinking instead of action.
(Thu Sep 13, 2001 - 8:18:43 am)

Decoy:
Think and then act, I'm in favor of that.
(Thu Sep 13, 2001 - 8:19:31 am)

Cushca:
Heruka, I think they ought to put you in a travelling sideshow as some kind of fucking curio. NO-ONE EXCEPT YOU LIKES BUSH.
(Thu Sep 13, 2001 - 8:21:01 am)

Decoy:
Read some history, indeed. Get out of your box, orange.
(Thu Sep 13, 2001 - 8:21:07 am)

orange:
that's the point, it isn't one people one world... but te US has opposed anything that isn't western... as has the UK and europe, then we wonder why those people hate us. It's not a melting pot, it's diverse. for 'bigger' nations to impose their will, as britain did in the colonies, only leads to trouble. this is what should be looked at, foreign policy of the west. instead of steaming in with gunboat diplomacy we should look at the bigger picture. innocent people will die otherwise, as they have done for years. it is one world, but it's many peoples.
(Thu Sep 13, 2001 - 8:22:52 am)

Cushca:
Have I stumbled into a Benetton advert?
(Thu Sep 13, 2001 - 8:23:50 am)

Decoy:
Our individual acts of compassion and those of out country far outweigh the freaks that send money to terorists. I wonder what the ratio is in Iraq?
(Thu Sep 13, 2001 - 8:25:06 am)

Chewing Wax:
It's complete crap. It really is. His points lack any validity. His facts are incorrect. His premise... flawed. Oh well. I invite his input.
(Thu Sep 13, 2001 - 8:25:23 am)

Heruka:
Half of America likes Bush. He has respectable ratings. Hmm. As for the future, I figure the world will split up into two sects. I think we'll be surprised who will be on different sides. Ten a massive war will ensue.
(Thu Sep 13, 2001 - 8:25:41 am)

Cushca:
What about me? Do you invite my input?
(Thu Sep 13, 2001 - 8:25:44 am)

Chewing Wax:
I cherish your input
(Thu Sep 13, 2001 - 8:26:39 am)

Cushca:
Heruka's New World Order ©
(Thu Sep 13, 2001 - 8:26:40 am)

orange:
Heruka, europe is it's own entity, but the US constantly throws it weight around. Bush may well tell us to go to hell, but we're the ones who'll take the fall-out. that's the way it has been for decades. he doesn't want us, except when it's convenient.
(Thu Sep 13, 2001 - 8:26:56 am)

Cushca:
I don't actually have any. I just wanted to know if it was invited.
(Thu Sep 13, 2001 - 8:26:59 am)

Decoy:
I am not saying everyone be homogeneous. I think we can get along if the system is right, and that some people just aren't even trying - even taking steps backward into animalistic behavior.
(Thu Sep 13, 2001 - 8:27:10 am)

Heruka:
I'M NOT FUCKING STONED!!! These painkillers just thwart the pain, nothing more. Rats.
(Thu Sep 13, 2001 - 8:28:02 am)
