Decoy:
What if there is a serial killer in DC. Think of it - every politician would have to clean up their act because of contsant on-going investigations about every missing person. And since I am pretty sure that all the hot babes work for the politicians, there's gonna be some house cleaning!
(Mon Jul 23, 2001 - 10:45:29 am)

Walsh continued: "I know Chief Ramsey. He is working hard on this case, and they don't want to create any hysteria. But I remember a couple years ago, I went up to Rochester, New York, a quiet little college town and they had 17 women missing and they were very reluctant -- the police -- to say that the murders are related. But I think it is a possibility and I think that police have to be doing a parallel investigation. They can't rule out anything at this point."

We've chosen downtown LA as the spot to get a hotel in. Not really near anything except for the art museum, so it's a cheaper place to bunk. And it's strategically located in the middle of all the different places we have to go.

The report was immediately disseminated worldwide by wire services, television and radio stations, newspapers and, of course, the Web, leading fans to eulogize the rocker in newsgroups and online tributes. By Monday morning, however, the denials were pouring in. First, Martin's agent Adam Sharp told CBS News that Martin never gave an exclusive interview to the Mail and the producer has no idea where the quotes came from. Furthermore, Sharp said, "George Harrison is fine and working on his new album."
(Mon Jul 23, 2001 - 4:06:19 pm)

Fine now..:
Harrison and his wife, Olivia, quickly chimed in with their own release, calling the Mail's story "unsubstantiated, untrue, insensitive and uncalled for." The Harrisons added that they were "disappointed and disgusted" by the premature rumors of the singer-guitarist's demise. Harrison, 58, has had a rough go in recent years. He was treated last month at a Swiss clinic, reportedly for a brain a tumor. Earlier this year, he checked into the Mayo Clinic to have a cancerous lung operated on. In 1998, he underwent radiation therapy for throat cancer, which he attributed to years of smoking a hookah.
