Chewing Wax:

(Tue Apr 24, 2001 - 4:20:51 pm)

bela:
Uh huh. Its supposed to be good I guess. Hey - ever have those Ruger sugar cookies? I just ate a whole pack.
(Tue Apr 24, 2001 - 4:23:03 pm)

Queenie:
Mmm... Johnny Depp.
(Tue Apr 24, 2001 - 4:29:31 pm)

Heruka:
Well. I've been majorly flamed. One called me "hilarious".
(Tue Apr 24, 2001 - 4:30:37 pm)

Chewing Wax:
I don't think I've had those cookies.
(Tue Apr 24, 2001 - 4:36:57 pm)

Chewing Wax:
You are hilarious. If nothing else.
(Tue Apr 24, 2001 - 4:37:11 pm)

Heruka:
There's nothing that I posted that wasn't true. Have you read the post? I'm right. Just not self-rightious. One of the comments I made were straight from a human ethics class that my brother teaches at a local University. He teaches part-time these days. Then they told me I was wrong. It would be funny if it weren't so sad.
(Tue Apr 24, 2001 - 4:41:24 pm)

bela:
I like Johnny Depp too. I like his movies. Did anyone see Donny Brasco? That movie was great and alot of it was filmed in my neighborhood.
(Tue Apr 24, 2001 - 4:44:57 pm)

Chewing Wax:
I haven't read the post. I don't know where it is. And i haven't seen Donny Brasco. I'll look for it. Thanks.

>>>>2. destruction of property is not violence. ESPECIALLY in the case ofplowshares-type actions. but, really, in more general cases such astrashing a mcdonald's (or what have you). it's the American military thatallows the mcdonald's of the world to carry out their rapacious programmmesin the first place. so trashing a mcdonald's is really just an indirectform of a plowshares action<<<
.Actually, it is. It's the worst kind of violence. Violence doesn't need to bephysical. It can also be verbal and emotional. Violence is attempting tomanipulate someone's behavior by ANY means.
>>>>while i do consider myself a pacifist > On the other hand, I am quite sure that all the rock-throwing>testosterone-soaked 21-year-old anarchists in their black bandannas had agreat time, and they will no doubt cherish memories of the Battle ofQuebec in twenty years when they're all stockbrokers and lawyers andcollege professors.
When they're not busy beating up their wives or abusing their children. Again, they've crossed the line. They're capable of physical violence. The only thingthey need to do is rationalize it, like they (wrongly) did here.
I'm not against violence. Not at all. If it weren't for the stuff, we'd all beliving under an Iron Fist or something. I simply got tired of the moralcondescending wank going on here.
