Yup, the eldest was successfully moved into a college dorm. We used the trip down to visit with Mrs Murphy's old college friends who live nearby, too.

The cowboys organization broke new ground in further sexualizing the cheerleader role for profit and brand recognition. It was a very Texas thing to do in the 1970s. Southwest airlines (Dallas-based) did the same thing for the already highly-sexualized flight attendant role. Now that the culture wars on gender are in full swing, Texas must hold the line to keep cheering female and trashy!

Our local NFL team got in a wee spot of trouble for seemingly offering up their cheerleaders as escorts for wealthy investors at team retreat events. But that was several years ago; it couldn't happen again. And I think we now have male cheerleaders mixed in while our ladies wear baggy outfits that Billie eilish would consider unnecessarily modest.
