I went to the women's Ashes on Saturday. It was excellent. Lots of fun, even for someone like me who knows fuck all about cricket. I took a book with me and didn't open it once. And they serve Pimms.

Cricket with a cold beverage on a presumably sunny and warm Saturday sounds grand. Do spectators keep little paper scorecards with them, like old guys at baseball games? And does one dress up a bit to attend, or is the scene a bit more relaxed than that?
