Are you enveloped in quebecoise smoke, Wax? Or maybe you're just far enough west to dodge it? It came down to DC with a vengeance yesterday. Downtown was nasty, but so was my suburban air. Smelled like I was next to a campfire. Everything looks like the 1970s.

Yes, this is something else entirely. Sometimes with those western fires we get slightly worse air quality and lovely colors in our sunsets, but this is a haze that's apparent when you look across the street, and longer views are of course much worse. You get a sore throat from it.
