And I wanted it to be anything but eventful. The flight to Chicago had me sitting in a window seat on one of the Boeing planes with that door plug that blew out. It was a "900ER" flavor of the 737, which I believe was not grounded like the max series of planes. So I had to trust that the airline had inspected it. I kept my seat belt fastened and didn't mention the fun fact to the nearby passengers. No need for drama.
