Indeed, I'm grateful to be typing these words. An aviation pro at the airport said something like "yeah, that last one blew out around sixteen thousand feet, so they got lucky.. if your door has blown at cruising altitude I don't think your seatbelt would have helped..and then there's the hypoxia and the extreme cold..." Well, needless to say, he cheered me up a great deal.
