Our gauge is better. We know the difference between a single degree of F but you folks would never specify "it's 21 and a half" degrees C, would you? Ours is a specific sausage and not a silly one.

I love metric distance and volume measures, but Celsius is too vague. And when you hit 100, you're literally boiling. When we do, we sometimes use that metaphor but really it's just rather warm outside. So ours is inherently safer as you get more detail to proactively avoid fiery boiling death.
