ONE DAY'S POSTINGS: 10/29/2024 - FIRST TO LAST 5 Posts Total BACK

Myk Murphy:
They found another Mayan city buried under jungle overgrowth, thanks to lidar imaging technology. This new city is about the size of Edinburgh. Which seems appropriate for comparison, as the Scottish capital is somewhat like a city built atop an older city, with the fanciful bridges and the underpasses and the whisky-soaked hey hey hey...

I will be going to Edinburgh soon. My idiotic boss has decided that we should have our staff awayday there. Everyone relying on the trains up to Scotland in December when the weather is notoriously shitty and rail travel will inevitably be disrupted? Sounds like an absofuckinglutely brilliant idea.

Myk Murphy:
I love Edinburgh in August but I'm on the fence about the city regarding December. Wet, cold, dark, with trains that aim to disappoint. But when you get there, the pubs will seem extra cozy and the whisky will warm your bones, so there's that. So much to consider. Do they set up a big xmas tree near St Giles? If so, I think it's gonna be fun.
