Much strangeness at the weekend on this board. Joe - the new Sundays album is gorgeous. As for me,I feel a Nick Drake obsession happening. I got the Fruit Tree box set at the weekend. Now I've got to try to get hold of a back copy of Mojo. How I would like to be in Brooklyn on 8 November... There must be one person in England who'd want to go apart from me, surely... CW - ah, yes. Supper. Pedant! I never play that song - too creepy. Not as unnerving as Black Eyed Dog though... So who's going to the tribute concert then? Let's have a show of hands. Maybe you'll brush past one another and never realise. Fountains of Wayne tonight for me.

Odd that penguin being there isn't it? If it laid an egg, it would fall down the back of the television set. Unless it's a male. Oh. I hadn't thought of that. Looks fairly butch. Perhaps it's from next door. Next door? Penguins don't come from next door, they come from the Antarctic. Burma. Why did you say Burma? I panicked. Perhaps it's from the zoo. Which zoo? How should I know which zoo it's from? I'm not Dr. bloody Branovski. How would Dr. Branovski know which zoo it was from. He knows everything. Oh I wouldn't like that, it would take all the mystery out of life. Anyway, if it was from the zoo, it would have "property of the zoo" stamped on it. No it wouldn't, they don't stamp animals, you can't stamp a huge lion. They stamp them when their small. What happens when they molt. Lions don't molt. No, but penguins do. There! I run rings around you logically. Oh intercourse the penguin.

caroline and the vicar are correct, ultimately, in their collective intent to shepherd, but i am perversely drawn to the tangents and margins of this board. to reach these margins, luckily i find it necessary to cross the center quite often, thus appearing to adopt a focused centrism. i wonder if this is a reasonable way to conduct myself. hmmm...

I would agree that Robyn isn't quite as visible at the moment. I would say that gives us the opportunity to discuss ongoing issues and themes in his music, and artists who have influenced him or have been influenced by him--not the latest brawl at Wembley or who's trading for whom in the NFL. Of course, stuck up sticky beats like my spend a lot of time trying to control message boards. If you complain, that's your post. If you contribute rather than criticize, that is your post. Everyone (almost) seems to come back to Robyn in the end. After all, that's what brought us all here. You are right. The personal rapport is wonderful. It's almost a strange phenomenon. Hey Homer - The Bills already hold the record for the biggest comeback in NFL history, but they now also have the second-biggest comeback in regular-season history. The Bills opened the game by staking the Colts a 26-0 lead, but they stormed back with 16 unanswered point of their own. In the fourth quarter, the Bills went on another tear, scoring 21 points to take a 37-29 lead. The Colts responded with a last-ditch TD drive of their own but failed to score on the two-point conversion. The Colts recovered the ensuing onsides kick, though, and had two last-gasp attempts at the end zone. When the dust finally settled, the Bills found themselves with a thrilling 37-35 victory. Rookie Antowain Smith led the way for the Bills with 129 yards and three touchdowns. The Bills can use their upcomin bye week to savor the win before they turn their focus to the Detroit Lions, who come to town October 5.

Morning everyone. I managed to get the Nick Drake introduction album yesterday (the only ND record they had). Now I too, am thinking of acquiring the Fruit Tree boxed set. I had an extremely mellow evening yesterday spent listening to the Sundays and then Nick Drake and then falling asleep on the sofa. When I eventually lumbered into bed I was having vague nightmarish thoughts about black-eyed dogs and pondering about the eerily prophetic Fruit Tree. Wonderful album though. Thanks for the tip. Oh, this is odd. Some of the schoolgirls in the school over the road are doing strange formation dancing. I think there's a hint of Riverdance involved. I could happily do without this. I think the Robyn song I mentioned yesterday was "Let there be more darkness", although I'm not completely sure. I haven't listened to it for years.

well, sleepy, your question is quite interesting to me, since i recently found myself waiting in airports for lengthy flights, and i found myself alone in a foreign country for some of my time. during the quiet hours of the trip, i found it difficult to get "aquarium" out of my head. this means nothing, since i didn't choose it, but it is what my mind suggested to me. i offer this, for what's it worth.

Resin - a viscid substance that oozes from certain trees and plants, used in varnishes, synthetic plastics, and for many other purposes. Little Buzzalot and his special friend Dipsy were out ballooning over the country just the other day, looking down upon the little people of the village who resembled ants at that great height. "Look Dipsy!", Little Buzzalot chirped. "They look like ants!" "Indeed they do" said little Dipsy, taking another drink from the bottle she had brought. "They might like some sugar don't you think?" So she poured her drink upon them and laughed her happy laugh.

The match was televised on Sky Sports 1 live, but for 45 minutes, you almost wished they hadn't as the game turned into a midfield tussle in the first half. Collymore, booed by Mr. Robyn Hitchc--k, notorious musical genius and Mighty Reds fan at his every touch, had a chance after 30 minutes but headed well over, whilst Owen and Berger shots also missed the mark. It wasn't until 11 minutes into the second half that the game finally sprung to life with a controversial penalty (Owen felled by Southgate, but there didn't seem to be any contact), coolly slotted home by Fowler for his first goal in his first full appearance this season. A great run and shot from McManaman, eerily similar to his wonder-goal against Celtic recently, put Liverpool in the driving seat with 11 minutes to go and Riedle's finish from an Owen pass in the final minute topped off a second-half performance by Liverpool that was probably their best 45 minutes of the season.
