That debate was an absolute shitshow. It actually made me grateful a) for the level of political discourse in this country and b) that sentience is the base level of cognition for our politicians rather than an ambition.

I agree: we now serve as a cautionary tale for other countries. But I am so annoyed at the person who coached Joe to go out there and spout stats on progress. Fewer words and some fire in his belly would have played better. It's not like Donald was going to do anything but say easily disproven lies. Some folks faulted CNN for not calling out any obvious lies, of which there were many. But the big issue was joe.
