Indeed it was. They were posting videos of the stream next to the cabin in normal circumstances, and then with increasing ferocity over time, to the point where it was up to the cabin's deck and tons of debris was cascading down the mountain.
On a happier note, on Saturday Mrs Murphy and I will journey to the Caribbean for five company-sponsored days of mandatory sunburns and frozen rum drinks. If I can snorkel and play swimming pool volleyball, my week is complete. The weather looks stormy every damn day so I'm kinda wondering just how great this will be.
